I guess I have to go find where my trusty old 360 controller is.Įxclusive mode should sort it. I've been playing AC Unity and Galak-Z and they seemingly had native DS4 support (didn't have to load up DS4Windows and even the button symbols had changed) but Fallout can't even let me play properly with or without DS4Windows. It's like the button mapping changes randomly every time I start the game. Have you tried manually killing explorer.exe from the task manager, putting it in exclusive mode and starting explorer again? Could be something you're running that hooks into the explorer process I guess. If you look on ds4windows site he has some posts about how it's not fully supported and can cause wierd stuff, but if it works for you then no point in stopping. Most games work without it or have native ds4 support and you can disable x-input or just run without ds4windows. I stopped using it after and can't remember specifically what happened anymore but i've stayed away since. Stuff was crashing and acting wierd until i restarted my pc, the games were working though otherwise. I have, but it could be a conflict with some other programs i run. It basically just kills off explorer.exe and starts it again. Just go to the "controllers" tab, hit the open exclusively button, disconnect and reconnect the controller. I've not had any issues with the new option in ds4windows. If you have windows 10 I found that the trick to get exclusive mode to work breaks windows sometimes and causes crazy glitches and crashes though. Exclusive mode is the only way to go in this game sadly, it 'works" but not fully and the buttons change randomly.
